Sylvania Presbyterian Church, located at the corner of AR 321N and Patty Road in the heart of the Sylvania community, welcomes you to worship with us. Consider the following a means of becoming better acquainted with us. We hope God will grant us the pleasure of becoming better acquainted with you.
The Rev. James W. Moore, a native of Pennsylvania, founded Sylvania Presbyterian Church–one of the oldest churches in Arkansas–in 1843. Since then the church has existed continuously on the grounds she occupies today. In 2002 the church affiliated herself with the Evangelical Presbyterian Church, a denomination of 85,000 worshippers nationwide in over two hundred churches committed to the primacy of declaring the Good News of Jesus Christ.
Though the church has enjoyed a long history, she looks forward to the days yet to come. Sylvania EPC looks forward to bearing the unchanging, life-changing message of Jesus Christ both to lifelong residents and new settlers in our area. The church motto, Grateful for the past–Focused on the future, well captures our view. Come, and be a part of what God is doing at Sylvania EPC.
